In the Fall of 2017, I had the pleasure of being introduced to the Digital Humanities as an academic field through HUMN100: Digging into the Digital with Dr. Jakacki. The class was module-based, and we experimented with tools such as Voyant, TEL and XML encoding, Google Fusion Tables, and ArcGIS Online, as we attempted to make our case on who we thought committed the murder of William Desmond Taylor, a popular Hollywood film director in 1922.
